- June 24: Academy, AAOE®, and AAOP™ members can register and reserve hotel rooms.
- July 8: Nonmembers can register and reserve hotel rooms.
- Aug. 5: Early registration fee deadline. Fees increase Aug. 6.
- Sept. 9: Advance pricing fee deadline. Fees increase Sept. 10.
- Only optometrists who are members of the American Academy of Optometry and who have been selected for presentation may attend AAO 2026. If optometrists included on an accepted abstract are not members of the American Academy of Optometry, they may not attend AAO 2026.
- Registration for the event is handled by a different vendor.

- The online abstract submitter for AAO 2026 Papers/Posters is now open. Submit your abstract by April 14, 2026. There is no submit button, abstracts that are complete by 11:59 PM Pacific Time on Tuesday, April 14 will be reviewed.
- Hotels rooms offered through discounted event rates are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- While conducting your search, the online system reflects up-to-the-minute availability and booking options.
